Enjoyed the show but the seats in the balcony were horrid for my elderly mother who wanted to see the show being nervy and unwell because of the seating. Unfortunately we have the same seats for the next two shows in the cycle. I was made take her walker to the cloak room whereas a woman in the same row two seats away from me had hers handy.

We enjoyed this show immensely. We found it to be a happy and lively show with the many well known songs and dance numbers. Thanks very much to Jeanie Pratt for her continual patronage in these wonderful shows that are put on each year and provide opportunity for many performers to participate in, loved popular as well as the lesser or forgotten musicals which all need to be staged as an introduction to new audiences as well as the existing devotees.

My mother and I went to Crazy for You yesterday and loved the performance. The dancing was wonderful, the show uplifting and the performances brilliant. Laughed until I cried when Alan Brough made his entrance with “his sister”.
Thankyou once again for keeping us theatre lovers entertained.

    Dear Mrs Pratt,

In case The Age chooses not to publish this letter, I would like you and your company at least to be aware of the reaction of one of your subscribers to the inexpert and mean-minded review of Crazy For You in today’s edition.

    Yours sincerely,

    Ian Harrison

Michael Lallo’s review of The Production Company’s Crazy For You (The Age 17/7) is composed of an inaccurate reading of the program’s account of the show’s provenance, a lengthy resume of the plot (the least important element in a show of this genre), comments on the staging that betray an unawareness that this is a concert version and one sentence of lukewarm appreciation of the performances.

Jeanne Pratt and the Production Company deserve the gratitude of Melbourne theatregoers for the opportunities they give to young Australian performers to showcase their talents. The capacity audience at Thursday evening’s performance gave a thunderous appreciation of the extraordinary achievement of the whole company – creative team, cast and orchestra – especially considering the budgetary restraints and limited rehearsal period necessitated by a very limited run of five performances.

It is unfortunate that Lallo’s review did not draw a wider public’s attention to the quality of the production and offer well-deserved affirmation to all those responsible.

    Ian Harrison, Kew.

    Hi,

I saw the Saturday night show, absolutely loved it, loved the Alan Brough and Melissa Langton as the Fodor’s, and I thought the ensemble were outstanding, especially the end of the first act!
    Well done to all involved!

Favorite line: ‘I feel beside myself’ Excellent costumes.
I took my daughter, it was her first show ever. She was mesmerized. Clapping and dancing. Her favorite was her dress and that they got in love at the end. Standing ovations from her and a big congratulations from me.

Really enjoyed CFY – well done to the whole cast, orchestra and crew. Just brilliant! No wonder I come from Sydney and drag friends along with me to see the shows – and they are converts by the end of each show!
Really looking forward to BF. Thank you everyone at TPC.
